Cava Cava Cava’s A Chameleon

When it comes to wine, I like to think I’m quite adventurous. But matching a white cava with a slow-roasted leg of lamb was a new one on me. And guess what? It works!

Of course the Catalans have, like, known this for ever. Which is why I was trying this combination at a Codorníu Wine Barcelona Supper Club held in London. (more…)

Falanghina is the grape di giorno dontcha know. You can’t move for a wine writer waxing lyrical about how wonderful wine made from this grape is for hot summer days.

“Drink this instead of Pinot Grigio” they say, referring to the Northern Italian style of wine made from the grape known everywhere else as Pinot Gris. (more…)
